omg. thank you! and yes! i didn’t think anybody was going to bring it up :D yeah, i was originally going to put ayame in there. i decided against it because it didn’t fit the “partnership” theme. twas just my delusions grabbing hold…

the more i thought about it, the less the original idea made sense, anyway. the whole concept of mirrors has been kinda making rounds in my head as something i associate more with mikotoba, now… so it just wasnt entirely accurate… the mirror is mikotoba’s life before and after sholmes… like. the parallels between what he goes through with ayame and then lady baskerville, the security he felt in having a Person and then having no choice but to lose that person somehow, the children he had to leave behind… i dont think mikotoba sees ayame in sholmes at all, they will always be incredibly different people he fell in love with at different times. LOL does any of this make sense. sorry.

i will say that that particular doodle DID spawn an idea for a fic im never going to finish but ill put a blurb under the read more bc im embarrassed. smth smth. sholmes and insecurities. erm. yeah so it makes more sense for that kind of thing, i think. but it was not on theme. so. theres that!
