THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Aaaah!!! One of my favorite things to do when I do these aus is world-building and I usually start with the caste hierarchy and how I can mix it up or make it my own. The swapped structure is one of my favorites I got to brainstorm and I thought it would work SO well for this au in particular. Especially when it comes to character dynamics :D So so many ideas!
to kinda prattle on about this, i mentioned that i sorta stole this idea from myself. i have a session with a friend where we both came up with and use a swapped hierarchy and its FUN and great and I love it. im gonna show off some fantroll stuff under the cut just for fun!
[[MORE]]the structure is messy (this was made last year) but the difference is that fuschia and violets are exclusively sea, and rust and bronze are exclusively land. So REALLY for this fanplanet (named Zodiakos) on land the hierarchy is flipped (meaning rusts are highbloods) and in the sea its the same (so fuschias remain highbloods). Again, an idea I stole from myself and changed accordingly to what I thought would be most interesting.
The fantrolls for this particular fanplanet are all based on the chinese zodiac so its HDHDJ its really a whole thing!! Im really proud of this fanplanet!! I have three other main ones with DIFFERENT hierarchies and systems and I JUST !!! I LOVE WORLD-BUILDING !!!! Anyways you can see my fantrolls below. Really fun!!! If you ever make an au or a fanplanet, fuck around with the system as much as possible! Its REALLY fun!!!
